There will be games, food, the band NOMAD, fireworks, and much, much more. These community days were organized to celebrate Lincoln’s 50th year anniversary of becoming a borough. The fire department will be on hand as well and will be giving free blood pressure tests.
Our next meeting is July 9th at 7:30pm at the truck garage at 4312 Liberty Way. Anyone wishing to join our fire company can pick up an application prior to the meeting.
Tanker 184-1 responded to Arlington Avenue in Port Vue for a garage fire on Saturday evening, July 5th. Command had us standby at Romine and Hunter. A couch caught on fire inside of a garage and luckily was extinguished quickly. Crews ventilated the structure and our tanker was cleared after a short time on scene.
On Tuesday morning June 10th, Glassport requested both tankers for a large pile of old railroad ties on fire. Both tankers responded to the scene along the river behind the car wash around 3rd and Allegheny Avenues. Tanker 184-1 used the deck gun for 2 loads of water and tanker 184-2 supplied 2 loads of water to Engine 123. A front-loader was called in to spread out the wood and one more load from Tanker 184-1 was used to hit any hot spots. Crews quickly cleaned up and cleared right before some severe storms hit the area.
